3.14 Increment of market share and profitability
Most of the cluster units are unaware of proper marketing system and have
not deal accordingly to the client belong to other state rather than their fix
or local client so that they have no access of bigger market.
Intermediates who provides raw materials to small units in a small quantity
and make a good profit out of them. Also there is no connection between
producer and the end users which must be well known to be up to date
what exactly market demands. The client or market should also need to
be aware regarding emerging life style customer demand and their need
& usages. Thus, the cluster need to motivate towards new design, multiusage
products & their development with proper costing (purchasing rate
& selling rate both).
Due to lack of innovative marketing strategy and reluctance to participate
in competitive market, it is losing ground at the local as well as national
level. Yet, there is a big scope for the cluster with the recent upsurge of new
industries in West Bengal, especially in the automobile market. So, there
is better scope for dissemination of information on modern technology on
metal, development in marketing infrastructure through e-commerce and
e-business facilities.
So a marketing networks or sells channel is required towards uplifting
this cluster for direct business to secure their future competitiveness &
profitability. Also it would help to create a better identity establishment of
‘Bargachia Metal Cluster’ and would generate more profit.
