Topic 1: Welcome and Today’s Outcomes Members were welcomed to the fourth Steering Committee meeting for the Supporting Diverse Customers to Employment Success (SDCES) Project. Each Steering Committee member represents a stakeholder key to the success of this project. Reviewed these meeting outcomes: • Welcome and Introductions • State of the State WIA One-Stop Career Center System, July 2003 – June 2004 from State and Regional Perspectives • Strategize How to Keep and Build Momentum for Customers with Disabilities (Starting with Over the Next 3 Months) • Next Meeting Information Topic 2: Introductions • SDCES Steering Committee members introduced themselves and shared whom they represent. Topic 3: State of the State WIA OSC System, July 2003 – June 2004 The following presentations reflected these perspectives: • State – Len Malry, Office of Workforce Training and Development and the State WIB • Central Region – Judy LeJeune and Adrienne Smith, Central WIB; Charles Pacheco, Central OSCC Model Site; Mary Modrow for Larry Maestas, Central Navigator • Northern Region – Margaret Garduno, Northern WIB; Maggie Lujan, Northern OSCC Model Site; Fanny Pearce, Northern Navigator • Eastern Region – Terri Douglass, Eastern WIB; Joe Sandoval, Eastern OSCC Model Site – DOL; Al Wilson, Eastern OSCC Model Site – ENMU; Kathleen “Missy” Pugh, Eastern Navigator • Southwestern Region - Dolores Haley, Southwestern WIB Alternate and Southwestern NM OSCC Model Site; James Nettleton, Southwestern Navigator The tables on the next pages capture these perspectives shared regarding the state of the state WIA OSC System.
