the Village of lake Bluff is governed

by its Village President and Board of

trustees. they establish policies, approve

ordinances, including the annual budget,

appoint residents to advisory boards and

commissions and appoint the Village

administrator and other department

heads upon recommendation from the


the Village Board meets at 7:00 p.m. on the

second and fourth monday of each month.

all regular meetings are open to the public,

as well as broadcast live and re-aired on

local cable channel 19. agendas concerning

the train station and at

the Village administrator is the chief

administrative officer of the Village and

is appointed by the Village Board. the

all new residents are encouraged to contact

Village hall (234-0774) to arrange for water

service. also, each vehicle must obtain a

Village sticker. once registered with the

Village, renewal notices are mailed directly.

household waste services are contractually

provided by Grout industries. to schedule

for pickup, call 877-404-7668. additional

information concerning household waste

services is available at if

information changes (new car, etc.) please

notify the Village.

the Village does require pet owners to clean

up after their animals depositing waste

on any property that is not the owner’s. in

addition, any dog without a leash or cat

without a bell running at large or causing a

nuisance is subject to impoundment.
