of ridge road, Stirling Hall Arts & Activities

Center houses a fully equipped, professionally

staffed ceramics studio, with soda, raku and

high Fire reduction kilns that provide classes for

adults and children. studio space and classes

are also provided for other art activities such as

drawing, mixed media, mosaics and more.

the Wildlife Discovery Center is located in

the historic elawa Farm facility, on middlefork

Drive off waukegan road. this facility houses

our public viewing area of amazing reptile and

amphibian collection. other things to enjoy are

the outdoor raptor exhibits, Grass is Rattling

venomous reptile exhibit, education programs,

nature hikes in our outdoor classroom on the

middlefork savanna, bird and wildlife watching,

fitness walking, bicycling and our conservation

classes.

the Ridge Teams Course is a series of mental

challenges and physical obstacles that help to

build trust, support, integrity, self-awareness,

communication, problem solving skills and

leadership development. if you are interested

Providing recreation for over 80 years, the

Deerpath Golf Course, located on Deerpath

road, is one of the oldest and finest municipal

courses in the midwest with driving range, lesson

program and complete pro shop that includes

clubhouse services. the sandwedge Grill , open

to the public offers a variety of menu items. this

sporty public 18-hole course measures 6,255

yards with a par 70 for men and 5,487 yards with

a par 72 for women.

Visitors to the 29+ acre Forest Park Beach,

located on lake road, can enjoy the large beach

and grass areas, swimming, boating or other

water activities. open year-round, park amenities

include sheltered pavilions, grills, a fishing pier,

sand volleyball, boat launching ramp and boat

storage area, walking paths and a concession

stand during the summer months. For current
