The training on the features of the DevInfo 6.0
including the calculate module with special reference to
the statistical activities of the participants and the

dissemination of the data.
Application of DevInfo 6.0 for monitoring the
programme/project activities, and creating analytical
information in the form of tables, graphs & maps for
various purposes.
Training on advance data-management to create a DI
6.0 template and finally the database including various
tools, reports etc.

Excellent.
The first day, the proposed agenda for the training was discussed with
the participants which was agreed by the group.
The group comprises the participants speaking English and Arabic
languages.
The training was conducted in English and Arabic. The translation was
done by Mr. Maher Sbieh, Co-facilitator.
The participants learned very well the features of DevInfo 6.0 UI for its
various uses and DA for creating the database.
In addition, all specific questions / issues related to DI6.0 user and Data
Admin of the participants were responded and resolved during workshop.
The whole process of training generated a high interest among
participants for expansion of DevInfo technology in the country.
Participants created a functional database from the source
“Statistical Year Book 2007” published by the government of Libya
during the training. The database contains the indicators on
Demography and education sector at national and sub-national
(Sabiahs) level of the country.
The Government Focal Point Mr. Salah Eldin Masa'oud Elogbi in
principle agreed for the expansion of DevInfo in the country and
planning a DevInfo Work Plan for the approval by the government soon.
Also, very happy to place on record that The UNDP, Libya also very
encouraging and supporting the expansion of DevInfo technology in the
country. Many thanks to Mr. Mr. Ramanathan BalakKrishnan and Mr.
Ali M. Montasser.

What is your overall assessment of the DSG resource person's performance?
A challenging workshop which required the two team members, Kamal, the main facilitator, and Maher co-facilitator, to demonstrate effective partnership
in team work, proficient skills in conducting and juggling between two languages, and good time management. The overall evaluation of the participants
was very good and an action plan was produced by the end of the workshop which demonstrates confidence of trainees in accomplishing follow up tasks
and development of DI products on their own.
I am very satisfied with the excellent results of the workshop and the DSG resource person’s performance.
