As the gaming market matures and player preferences<br />
change, <strong>IGT</strong> is thinking outside the box to meet the<br />
demands of its customers around the world. With a wide<br />
variety of players ranging from aggressive risk takers to<br />

Products, is excited about the future.<br />
“We talked extensively to our customers and listened<br />
to their wants and needs,” said Ryan Griffin, <strong>IGT</strong> Product<br />
Manager for Standard Products. “As a result, we focused<br />
first and foremost on game math, then innovative features,<br />
branded visuals and sound to improve our players’<br />
experience. We also revamped our testing program to<br />
provide meaningful <strong>com</strong>petitive data on configurations,<br />
math, and betting models that are most attractive<br />
to players.”<br />
Designing for the True Gambler’s Experience<br />
“In general, as video slot players be<strong>com</strong>e more<br />
experienced and be<strong>com</strong>e more aggressive in their betting<br />
strategy and preferences, they don’t care about the special<br />
bonus transitions and all the fluff,” said Griffin. “Most want<br />

expect to win something. Then they want to get back<br />

players, there is also a segment of the market that chases<br />

base game ride,” said Griffin. “They are willing to tough<br />
it out in hopes of a bigger, more rewarding bonus. Our<br />

Current trends in gaming show that most players tend to<br />
