Lovingly adapted from Tim’s beanie from Spaced, the BBC comedy starring Simon Pegg and Jessica Stevenson. This is

Finished size: 22” (this hat fit my small head and my HusBoy’s large head)
Yarn: Rowan Cashsoft DK
MC: one skein
CC: half skein
Needles: US3 16” circular needle & US3 dpn needles
Gauge: 24 stitches and 34 rows per 4” in stockinette
Notes:
Vary the point at which floats are carried row to row to avoid funky lumps.

In MC, cast on 132 stitches. Join, being careful not to twist your stitches.
Knit 2x2 ribbing for five rows
Knit one row. Switch to CC, knit two rows .
Switch to MC. Knit from the chart, repeating twice per round.
