käliya-damana-vidhäna<br />

SYNONYMS<br />

yaçomaté-nandana–Lord Kåñëa is the beloved son of mother Yaçodä;<br />

vraja-vara-nägara–most beloved of the inhabitants of Vraja;<br />

gokula-raïjana–the attractor of the people of Gokula; käna–(an intimate<br />

nickname); gopé-paräëa-dhana–the wealth of the lives of the gopés;<br />

madana-manohara–who can attract even the mind of Cupid;<br />

käliya-damana-vidhäna–the chastiser of the Käliya serpent.<br />

TRANSLATION<br />

Lord Kåñëa is the beloved son of mother Yaçodä; the transcendental lover in<br />

the land of Vraja; the delight of Gokula; Käna [a nickname of Kåñëa]; the<br />

wealth of the lives of the gopés. He steals the mind of even Cupid and punishes<br />

the Käliya serpent.<br />
