4) Action Planning Workshops During October 2005, five workshops were organised; these were structured around Theme A (Health in Sustainable Communities), Theme C (Health in a Connected Region) and the three Strategic Priorities from Theme B (focusing, respectively, on children and young people, adults of working age, and older people). The principal purpose of the workshops was to consider and advance the draft Action Plan. However they also provided an opportunity <strong>for</strong> stakeholders to comment on Healthy Futures as a whole. In total, the five workshops were attended by around 70 people drawn from the voluntary and community sector, local government, NHS organisations, private sector developers, and regional and sub-regional agencies, partnerships and organisations.
