The University of Ulster welcomes new and returning students to
this academic year. As you are about to discover, university life is
full of challenges and excitement.
Good conduct on the part of all members of the University
community is essential for the wellbeing and safety of others and
for the maintenance of an environment in which students and
staff can work and study effectively.
The University of Ulster values its good reputation, therefore any
misconduct by students which discredits the University on or offcampus
is taken very seriously. All complaints are fully investigated
in accordance with University Ordinance XLIII (Student Discipline
Procedure). Where appropriate, disciplinary action will be
initiated against students found to be in breach of this Ordinance.
Did you know…
The University of Ulster Student Charter states ‘…that you will not behave
in an anti-social manner, on or off-campus and that you will behave in
a responsible manner in respect of the accommodation you occupy,
relations with co-habitants, neighbours and the local community. Anti-social
behaviour may result in disciplinary action.’
Maintaining good relationships with our neighbours is in the interests of
everyone. It is important that we are considerate of other people’s lifestyles
and property. Criminal acts or behaviour which disturbs local residents or
causes criminal damage, will not be tolerated.
