Ferengul Endowed Scholarship Fund
This endowment was established in 2010 by Corey and Melanie Ferengul to help current business
students who are actively participating in paying for school while focusing on their studies. The
Ferenguls grew up in working class families in the Chicago suburbs and worked several jobs during
summers, holiday breaks and on campus to finance the majority of their education.

Must be enrolled as a sophomore, junior or senior College of Business major in good
standing with a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or higher.
Demonstrate involvement in school and/or community activities and/or have substantial
work history (please list the number of hours worked per week to help fund your education
expenses.
Demonstrate an unmet need for financial aid as determined by the Illinois State Financial
Aid Office and/or federal regulation and/or personal circumstances.
One $1000 dollar award will be made on a one-year annual basis. Scholarship funds will
be disbursed through the Financial Aid Office after the 10 th day of the fall semester.
1. Complete all parts of the application.
2. Submit a 250 word essay discussing why you are interested in a professional career in
business and how a scholarship will impact your future.
3. Submit a current copy of your resume.
4. Submit at least one letter of reference.
5. The deadline to apply is July 1 st . All materials must be submitted or postmarked by the
deadline to be considered.
