ARCHITECT'S SUPPLEMENTAL INSTRUCTION

• Vera volunteers to be on the team to look at this. Josh is going to find
some students to explore options. Shelly is an ex officio member.
2. Recommendation to presidents team by the safety committee, to determine
consequences for faculty and staff who refuse to comply with EOP evacuation
procedures:
• Building monitors are to report individuals who do not comply to the
EOP committee. The committee will forward the report to the VP. The
V.P. will have a personal conference with that individual. If you don’t
know the name of the person, report the time and room number.
3. Previous Workorders
• Air duct in N104:
Was cleaned during winter break. Still needs more air supply if it is
going to be used as a computer lab.
• Fire Alarm in Robin Sounders, Stephanie Pina’s area, and in L150(not
loud enough): N
Need more alarms in this area. We will still need to upgrade the system
in the ST bldg(ST116). IT and other labs need flashing lights.
• Fire extinguisher hidden behind door in Gym:
It has been moved.
• Electrical cord in pool area connecting a microwave:
No appliances are allowed within 15’ of the pool area.
• Emergency Exit sign leading to the basement in pool area and is blocked
by pool supplies:
There are several other problems with this exit which will require some
major work. We need ramps and steps to get out of that door safely.
New items of Interest/Concern:
1. Suggestions for Planning Council:
• The purchase of 5 automatic defibrillators is being explored. Regulations
have changed. We now need a doctor who is willing to sign for this, and
we need required training in the proper use. Emily Slunt is working with
us on this.
• We need to look at chemical spill carts. We need prices on the carts
Kathy presented to us last year, and we need to know where they
should be located.
• Card Readers for the remainder of the campus would cost $150,000. We
are therefore looking at just sensitive areas.
• Back entrance to college needs to be redesigned with more signage and
speed bumps.
• The Gym needs an exit path-way for the weight room, and exit steps
from the pool.
