1.4 DIMENSIONS:
1. Recorded dimensions on drawings shall supersede
measurements by scale and drawings to a large scale shall take
precedence over those to a smaller scale. Special dimensions or
directions in the specifications shall supersede all others. All
dimensions shall be checked on site prior to execution.
2. The dimensions where stated do not allow for waste, laps, joints,
etc. but the contractor shall provided at his own cost sufficient
labour and materials to cover such waste, laps, joints, etc.
3. The levels, measurements and other information concerning the
existing site as shown on the drawings are believed to be correct,
but the contractor should verify them for himself and also
examine the nature of the ground as no claim or allowance
whatsoever will be entertained on account of any errors or
omissions in the levels or the description of the ground levels or
strata turning out different from what was expected or shown on
the drawings.
1.5 SETTING OUT OF WORKS
The contractor shall set out the works indicated in the conditions of
contract.
1.6 WATER :
1. Water from Approved Source:
Clean, fresh, potable water suitable for drinking purpose only
shall be used for the works. The water shall be free from any
deleterious matter in solution or in suspension and be obtained
from an approved source. The quality of water shall conform to
IS: 456-2000.
