Outfittr is launching its service in New England this spring. They have
hired you to estimate the size of the ‘outdoor gear’ rental market in
New England and the United States.
Furthermore, they want to know what the best target market is and
why?

Instructions
This is a simple market sizing problem to introduce you to the
world of consulting. Think about the problem in steps:
¨ How many units of ‘outdoor gear’ can be rented out in NE and the US in a
year?
¨ What would the revenues be if the rental prices are the ones indicated on
Outfittr’s Facebook page?
¨ What do you think the most lucrative market for Outfittr is? In other words
which customers do you think they should target and why?

Deliverables
¨ 3-4 Slides with your results and recommendations
¨ Resumes of all the team members
¨ Fill the application form on our website: http://bit.ly/dcc_12
¨ The ideas expressed in the decks will become the property of
Outfittr Inc.
