Pilgrimage of Italy March 10-21
Do you have some free time in March next
year? Well, do we have the opportunity for
you. Fr. Hock and Fr. Vince Parsons are
sponsoring a pilgrimage of Italy from
March 10 to March 21 of 2014. The pilgrimage
will depart from Denver on March
10. We will have the opportunity to pray
before 4 Eucharistic miracles, we will celebrate
Mass each day, we will visit tombs of
many saints – St. Cristina, St. Catherine,
St. Francis, St. Claire, St. Rita, St. Padre
Pio, the Archangel Michael, St. Janarius,
St. Benedict, St. Peter, St. Paul, St. Ignatius,
and countless others. There will even
be a visit to the North American College
where Fr. Hock spent 5 years of his life.
The cost of the pilgrimage is $3,395 –
which is quite steep, but it is also all inclusive.
There are brochures in the main
gathering area and at the West entrance
of the church. Feel free to contact Fr.
Hock or Fr. Vince if you have questions.

A note from Fr. Jim: We have reached our goal of
$800,000 pledged for our Capital Campaign! We greatly
thank you for your great support. I continue to be impressed
by your generosity and willingness to play an active
role in your parish. Even though we have reached
our goal we are not finished. We know that building projects
like this often take more money than planned. We
would also like to eventually build up our parish savings.
We currently have $77,000 in savings. I think a parish
this size should have twice that amount. Please keep the
pledges coming and please continue to pay on your
pledges! May God bless our efforts.
The North Platte Area Habitat for Humanity is now taking
applications for new homes. The open application

2013 Heartland Catholic Men’s Conference
Join us Saturday August 3, 2013 for the Fourth Annual heartland
Catholic men’s Conference at Sokol Arena on the Creighton University
Campus in Omaha. This conference is an effort of the
Archdiocese of Omaha to provide men in our region with an opportunity
to come to know their faith better, network with other
Catholic men, and receive spiritual nourishment.
This annual event is also informative in that it will provide area
men with a view into the many opportunities for spiritual and intellectual
growth available to them and opportunities they can
take advantage of in their own parishes. This year’s conference
will feature former All Pro NFL wide receiver, Danny Abramowicz,
FOCUS Missionary Founder and President, Curtis Martin, Director
of Formation for the Western Province Dominicans, Fr. Michael
Fones, O. P. and radio personality, Dr. Ray Guarendi (Sponsored
by Spirit Catholic Radio, KVSS). As always we will have morning
prayer and Mass with Archbishop George Lucas and time for confessions.

Rediscover Your Marriage – Retrouvaille
(pronounced retro-vi with a long I) simply means
'rediscovery'. The program offers the chance to
rediscover yourself, your spouse, and a loving relationship
in your marriage. Tens of thousands headed
for divorce have successfully saved their marriages
by attending. Retrouvaille is not a spiritual retreat,
not a sensitivity group, not a seminar, not a social
gathering. For confidential information about or to
register for the August program beginning with a
weekend on Aug 23-25, 2013 call 1-888-317-5654

Today’s readings speak of hospitality. Abraham, who
cheerfully did for his guests all that desert hospitality
required, was rewarded with his heart’s desire — a
son. Martha also busied herself with all the details of
hospitality, but grudgingly and with complaint.
Am I a cheerful or a grudging giver?
