Pilgrimage of Italy March 10-21

Do you have some free time in March next

year? Well, do we have the opportunity for

you. Fr. Hock and Fr. Vince Parsons are

sponsoring a pilgrimage of Italy from

March 10 to March 21 of 2014. The pilgrimage

will depart from Denver on March

10. We will have the opportunity to pray

before 4 Eucharistic miracles, we will celebrate

Mass each day, we will visit tombs of

many saints – St. Cristina, St. Catherine,

St. Francis, St. Claire, St. Rita, St. Padre

Pio, the Archangel Michael, St. Janarius,

St. Benedict, St. Peter, St. Paul, St. Ignatius,

and countless others. There will even

be a visit to the North American College

where Fr. Hock spent 5 years of his life.

The cost of the pilgrimage is $3,395 –

which is quite steep, but it is also all inclusive.

There are brochures in the main

gathering area and at the West entrance

of the church. Feel free to contact Fr.

A note from Fr. Jim: We have reached our goal of

$800,000 pledged for our Capital Campaign! We greatly

thank you for your great support. I continue to be impressed

by your generosity and willingness to play an active

role in your parish. Even though we have reached

our goal we are not finished. We know that building projects

like this often take more money than planned. We

would also like to eventually build up our parish savings.

We currently have $77,000 in savings. I think a parish

this size should have twice that amount. Please keep the

pledges coming and please continue to pay on your

pledges! May God bless our efforts.

The North Platte Area Habitat for Humanity is now taking

applications for new homes. The open application

period is from now until August 1. Please see the bulletin

board in the main gathering area for more information.

TV Masses are recorded this Thursday at 1:30 & 2:00

pm. Fr. Jim & Fr. Hock will be presiding. All are welcome

to participate as part of the assembly.

Knights of Columbus Council 1211 are in the Bull Fry

business. They will be selling mountain oysters this Friday,

July 26, 7:00 pm at the Lincoln County Fair for $7 a

plate. Stop by and support them!

The Parish Council will be meeting on Tuesday, July 30,

at 7:00 pm. This is a week later than their normally

scheduled meeting. We will continue to plan the Annual

BBQ. If you would like to help out please plan on joining

us for this meeting.

Finance Committee is not meeting this month.

Stewardship Council will meet Thursday, July 25th at

6:30 pm.

Please pick up your new ministry schedule in the north

sacristy if you have not received it electronically. A list of

subs is also available next to the ministry schedules. You

are responsible for having a sub if you are not available on

the date you are scheduled. If you have changes that need

to be made, please contact Cindy Lupomech, not the parish
