CNS Revascularization: Endovascular Approach

CNS Revascularization: Endovascular Approach

Hypothesis •

Hypothesis • Endovascular treatment improves clinical outcomes compared with conservative medical therapy in the treatment of stroke due to large vessel occlusion

Methods • 2 cohorts of patients treated at Millard Fillmore Gates hospital stroke center during 2007 - 2011 • Data on clinical outcomes for each patient were obtained from a prospectively-collected database • First group underwent endovascular treatment • Second group was treated with standard conservative medical therapy alone (antithrombotic agents + statins only)
