“Energy Conservation Awareness” to the employees<br />

<strong>of</strong> CIRE & Project Office <strong>of</strong> Hyderabad. During the<br />

programme on “Appraisal <strong>of</strong> Generation Projects”<br />

for half day, the Chief Project Managers <strong>of</strong> REC were<br />

oriented on Implementation <strong>of</strong> Official Language in<br />

their <strong>of</strong>fices. The participants <strong>of</strong> the programme on<br />

“Best Practices in Agriculture Pumpsets and Rural<br />

Demand Side Management” were taken to Green<br />

Business Centre, a unique building, located at<br />

Hyderabad to demonstrate the DSM measures and<br />

the equipment. They were also taken to the field visit<br />

in Mahesaram Mandal to demonstrate the efficient<br />

and inefficient pumping systems and also power<br />

supply through HVDS to agricultural consumers. The<br />

first two programmes under DRUM were inaugurated<br />

by Shri S. Padmanabhan, Senior Engery Adviser,<br />

USAID/lndia and Shri DR Pahuja , Director(TC),<br />

<strong>Ministry</strong> <strong>of</strong> External Affairs respectively.<br />

6.3 During the period, CIRE was empanelled by the<br />

<strong>Ministry</strong> <strong>of</strong> External Affairs to organize international<br />

Training Programmes under ITEC/SCAAP. Also, CIRE<br />

has signed an MOU with Institute <strong>of</strong> Public Enterprise<br />

(IPE) on 10.11.2005 for organizing programmes<br />

jointly in specialized areas.<br />

6.4 During the period under review, CIRE also organized<br />

talks on Vigilance Awareness and effective use <strong>of</strong><br />

Official Language Hindi.<br />

Anticipated targets to be achieved during the remaining<br />

period <strong>of</strong> the year i.e. upto 31.3.2006.<br />

6.5 During the period from December, 2005 to March,<br />

2006, CIRE propose to organize 10 programmes as<br />

under:<br />

Regular Programmes : 3<br />

Programmes under DRUM/USAID : 5<br />

In-house programme on Hindi Translation<br />

for REC Employees : 1<br />

Programmes in association with IPE : 1<br />

B. Anticipated targets to be achieved during the<br />

remaining period <strong>of</strong> the year i.e. upto March 2006<br />

1 Efforts would be made to get the pending disciplinary<br />

case completed.<br />

2 Regular inspections would be carried out in respect<br />

<strong>of</strong> remaining 7 field <strong>of</strong>fices.<br />
