Generation<br />
Generation during the year 2004 – 05 has been 5209.676<br />
MUs (including 39.033 MUs <strong>of</strong> infirm power) out <strong>of</strong> which<br />
5147.342 MUs (including 38.566 MUs <strong>of</strong> infirm power)<br />
were injected into the Northern Grid.<br />
Generation during the year 2005 – 06 up to November was<br />
MINISTRY OF POWER<br />
5209.676 MUs (including 39.033 MUs <strong>of</strong> infirm power) out<br />
<strong>of</strong> which 5147.342 MUs (including 38.566 MUs <strong>of</strong> infirm<br />
power) were injected into the Northern Grid.<br />
The Nathpa Jhakri <strong>Power</strong> Station has generated 9801 MU<br />
<strong>of</strong> electricity since beginning and has earned a cumulative<br />
revenue <strong>of</strong> Rs. 2286 Crores up to January 08, 2006.<br />
Corporate Plan<br />
SJVN has drawn a comprehensive 10 year plan to achieve<br />
a target over 6650 MW by 2014 - 15 and emerge as a<br />
major contributor in Hydel <strong>Power</strong> generation. SJVN has<br />
already taken up the execution and subsequent operation<br />
and maintenance, <strong>of</strong> the following projects in the states <strong>of</strong><br />
Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal :<br />
(1) Rampur HE Project ( 412 MW ) located on river Satluj in<br />
Shimla district <strong>of</strong> Himachal Pradesh.<br />
(2) Luhri HE Project ( 700 MW ) located on river Satluj in<br />
Shimla district <strong>of</strong> Himachal Pradesh.<br />
(3) Khab HE Project ( 636 MW ) located on river Satluj in<br />
Kinnaur district <strong>of</strong> Himachal Pradesh.<br />
(4) Devsari Dam HE Project - 300 MW, on river Pindar,<br />
located in district Chamoli <strong>of</strong> Uttaranchal state.<br />
(5) Naitwar Mori HE Project - 33 MW, on river Tons ( a<br />
tributary <strong>of</strong> river Yamuna ), located in district Uttarkashi<br />
<strong>of</strong> Uttaranchal state.<br />
(6) Jakhol Sankri HE Project - 33 MW, on river Supin,<br />
located in district Uttarkashi <strong>of</strong> Uttaranchal state.<br />
SJVN is also making all out efforts to take up the execution<br />
<strong>of</strong> more projects in the other states <strong>of</strong> the Country.<br />
Organizational Status<br />
Human Resources<br />
The total man power on the rolls <strong>of</strong> SJVN was 780 as on<br />
31st March 2005 as against 627 as on 31st March 2004.<br />
The strength <strong>of</strong> HPSEB/HP Govt. on deputation on the<br />
above date was 945.<br />
Human Resources Development<br />
SJVN believes that employees are its most valuable<br />
assets and has evolved growth oriented human resource<br />
development strategy.<br />
Empowerment <strong>of</strong> manpower skills through training<br />
received utmost importance every time. The Company<br />
has well established strategy for imparting training to the<br />
employees and involved other pr<strong>of</strong>essional people to<br />
