7. Number <strong>of</strong> 400kV/220kV, 105 MVA Auto transformer for<br />
WBSEB.<br />

Capital Schemes<br />
During the X five year plan ten capital schemes have been<br />
sanctioned at a total oulay <strong>of</strong> Rs. 4195 lakhs, and are in<br />
various stages <strong>of</strong> implementation.<br />
Research Activities<br />
The Institute continued its strides in the area <strong>of</strong> research:<br />
Eight research projects amounting to Rs. 165 lakhs were<br />
commenced during 2005-06 along with 27 ongoing<br />
projects commenced during previous years.<br />
R&D Journal CPRI launched in August 2004 with a view to<br />
create a scientific forum for dissemination <strong>of</strong> R&D efforts in the<br />
Indian <strong>Power</strong> Sector the second issue <strong>of</strong> the journal released<br />
in April 2005 and the third issue is in October, 2005.<br />
