ESTABLISHED 1963 JUNE 2013

Another Month has come and gone. It seems like they are passing faster than ever. We have planned
some exciting activities for this Month, but first let me thank those that have worked so hard to organize
last Months activities.
A big thank you goes out to Jonathan Baker for organizing a terrific Rodeo Parade again this year. While
we were moved around to several places before the parade, the wait was not as long as it has been in the
past. Thanks to Steve Profera for locating all of the horse droppings so those of us that followed behind
could avoid them.
Thanks to Jon Devoe, Jonathan Baker, Bert Sherman, and all of you that participated in the Relay for
Life. This was my first year doing the Relay and I got some great exercise walking about five miles
around the track through out the day. What a touching silent walk around the track with the luminaries
bordering the entire track. I thought of my Dad as I walked. I don't think many were unaffected by this
experience.
My run to the American Le Mans Race at Laguna Seca was a great success. This was the last time it will
be run as the ALMS. I hope this venue will be continued with the new United Sports Car Racing circuit
next year and we can return again for more Corvette Racing. The highlight for most of us was being able
to drive two laps in our cars around the track. What fun! The most gratifying experience of the race was
that Corvette came in first, ahead of the new Viper, Ferrari, Porsche, and BMW.
Coming up we have our Anniversary Picnic at Meadow Lakes on June 8 th . Be sure to attend. This is our
club's 50 th anniversary. You only have to bring an hors d'oeuvre and what alcohol you chose to drink.
Everything else is being provided by the club. Thanks to our usual hard working crew of Nick and Angie
DiLiddo, Jerry Clark, and Dave and Terri Cavanaugh.
Don't forget the St Agnes Mission Church Car show at St Anthony's on June 29 th .
