March 11 Sun: LAX or other city – Beijing<br />

Depart from Los Angeles aboard a spacious jet for your transpacific journey. When you cross the international dateline from east<br />

to west, you lose a <strong>day</strong> and you will “gain” the lost <strong>day</strong> back when you fly from <strong>China</strong> back to the U.S.<br />

March <strong>12</strong> Mon: Arrive at Beijing Beijing Pullman Hotel or same<br />

Upon arrival, you will be transferred by air-conditioned coach to the hotel. After this long voyage, it will be a pleasure to settle<br />

into your luxurious accommodations. The rest of the afternoon will be free for you to spend as you wish.<br />

MARCH 11-22, 20<strong>12</strong><br />

March 13 Tue: Beijing (S*) (B/L/D) Beijing Pullman Hotel or same<br />

This morning, you will visit Temple of Heaven – <strong>China</strong>'s largest existing complex of ancient sacrificial buildings where the Chinese<br />

ancient emperors worshipped to the God of Heaven and prayed for good harvests. In the afternoon, you will visit the Tiananmen<br />

Square, which is a famous landmark and is the world's largest public square. You will continue your visit to the Forbidden City –<br />

the royal palace of ancient Chinese emperors.<br />

March 14 Wed: Beijing (S*) (B/L/D) Beijing Pullman Hotel or same<br />

You will visit the Great Wall to<strong>day</strong>. On the way, you will have a short visit at a jade factory, where you will enjoy the beautiful<br />

jade art. Then, onto the legendary Great Wall, one of the wonders of the world, which took several dynasties to complete. Plan<br />

to bring comfortable walking shoes if you want to scale the Great Wall and its magnificent history. Late in the afternoon, you will<br />

visit the royal garden – Summer Palace. At dinner you will enjoy the delicious Beijing specialty – Beijing Roast Duck dinner.<br />

March 15 Thu: Beijing – Xian by flight (B/L/D) Xian Grand Park Hotel or same<br />

Fly to Xian to<strong>day</strong> to visit Big Wild Goose Pagoda and City Wall.<br />

March 16 Fri: Xian (S*) (B/L/D) Xian Grand Park Hotel or same<br />

Visit the Museum of Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses. Dinner show (Chinese dumplings banquet & Tang Dynasty Dinner Show)<br />

March 17 Sat: Xian - Chongqing by flight (B/L/D) board on Century Diamond Cruise (5 star)<br />

To<strong>day</strong> you will fly to Chongqing, you will visit the old town of Chongqing – Ciqikou, then the zoo to see panda. You will enjoy a<br />

specialty dinner of Chongqing – the spicy Hot Pot, then board on the five star boat for your luxury <strong>Yangtze</strong> <strong>River</strong> cruise.<br />

March 18 Sun: <strong>Yangtze</strong>-Fengdu Snow Jade Cave (S*) (B/L/D) Century Diamond Cruise<br />

After buffet breakfast, there will be an introduction to the Three Gorges which can help you get to know more about the history<br />

and current issues regarding the Three Gorges. In the afternoon, you will take a land excursion to visit Fengdu Snow Jade Cave,<br />

the most beautiful cave in <strong>China</strong> along the <strong>Yangtze</strong> <strong>River</strong>. You will be invited to attend the captain’s welcome cocktail party,<br />

followed by a dinner show.<br />

March 19 Mon: <strong>Yangtze</strong>-Shennong Stream (S*) (B/L/D) Century Diamond Cruise<br />

The boat will go through the first gorge, Qutang Gorge, and at about 9 am the second gorge, Wu Gorge. After lunch, you will<br />

take a small boat visiting Shennong Stream, a place people call the small three gorges. You will be enchanted by charming<br />

mountains and greens on both sides. There is not any artificial scenery or landscapes. It is the virgin forests and original mountains<br />

with no human effects and reconstructions. It totally belongs to nature and wild animals. Late in the afternoon, the boat will go<br />

through the third gorge Xiling Gorge. From about 6:00-10:30 pm, the ship will go through the five-stages ship locks, which is part<br />

of the three gorges dam project. Dinner will be the captain’s farewell banquet.<br />

March 20 Tue: Arrive Yichang/Wuhan/Shanghai by flight (B/L/D) Shanghai Fudan Crowne Plaza Hotel or same<br />

After breakfast, you will take a land excursion to visit the Three Gorges Dam. Three Gorges Dam is a hydroelectric river dam<br />

that spans the <strong>Yangtze</strong> <strong>River</strong> in Sandouping, close to Yichang. It is the world's largest electricity-generating plant of any kind. After<br />

the visit, you will return back to boat to check out. Your wonderful <strong>Yangtze</strong> <strong>River</strong> cruise will finish to<strong>day</strong>. You will fly to Shanghai,<br />

the largest city in <strong>China</strong>, and one of the largest metropolitan areas in the world, with over 20 million people.<br />

March 21 Wed: Shanghai (S*) (B/L/D) Shanghai Fudan Crowne Plaza Hotel or same<br />

Shanghai is the largest city in <strong>China</strong>. and one of the largest metropolitan areas in the world, with over 20 million people. Located<br />

on <strong>China</strong>'s central eastern coast just at the mouth of the <strong>Yangtze</strong> <strong>River</strong>, the city is administered as a municipality of the People's<br />

Republic of <strong>China</strong> with province-level status. To<strong>day</strong> you will visit the Cheng Huang Temple, the People's Square, and the<br />

Waterfront Bund. You will get a sense of the fast-paced, fashionable lifestyles of Shanghai residents. Later to<strong>day</strong>, you may also visit<br />

a silk carpet factory.<br />

March 22 Thu: Shanghai – LAX or other city by flight (B)<br />

You will take Maglev, the world’s fastest train to the airport for our return flight back to the U.S.<br />
