– a one-year Ontario college Graduate certificate program, 

completed in two four-month semesters (laptop required). 

Designed for university or college graduates, this program 

provides graduates with functional knowledge in core areas 

of human resources: recruitment and selection, training and 

development, human resources planning, occupational health and 

safety, organizational behaviour, finance and accounting, human 

resources management, compensation and benefits, and labour 

relations. students have the opportunity to complete all nine 

certified human resources Professional (chrP) credits. (refer

the program also offers courses in human resources information 

systems (hris), canadian employment law, management of

trade. students work with real businesses, helping small

international trade, investment, marketing, finance, and business 

management. Graduates will receive an Ontario college 

Graduate certificate in international Business Management 

and, upon meeting Fitt criteria on two major projects sent 

for external grading, a Diploma in international trade from the 

Forum for international trade training (Fitt). Graduates who 

then work for one year in international business and meet other 

Fitt criteria can subsequently earn the certified international

broaden their skills-base in all functional areas of marketing. 

students interact with marketing as a broad set of activities 

and decisions that must be made about a product or service to 

satisfy customer needs. students develop skills in a number of 

specialized marketing disciplines, including new media marketing, 

event marketing, market research, direct marketing, and web 

design. in addition, a course in search engine marketing prepares 

students to pursue Google designations. small classes and reallife 

issues from community organizations help students learn and 

apply practical skills demanded by today’s dynamic businesses. 

Graduates have career opportunities in search engine marketing, 

sales, marketing research, advertising and promotion, event

3D AniMATiOn AnD cHArAcTEr 

DEsign 

– a one-year Ontario college Graduate certificate program that 

will build upon the student’s prior technical knowledge acquired 

from his/her fine art, media or design education. successful 

graduates will master all skills needed to create 3D animated 

characters and animated short films including: life drawing and 

storyboarding, 3D modeling and animation, shaders, texture 

mapping and lighting, character design, video editing and audio 

effects. concept development, team work, strategic planning 

and project management will be integral components of this 

dynamic two-term program. 

ADVAncED fiLMMAking 

– a 45-week Ontario college Graduate certificate program 

that builds on your degree or diploma skills by providing 

opportunities to work in cross-functional teams to create both 

narrative and documentary films and television productions. All 

aspects of digital filmmaking and video, including pre-production, 

production and post-production are covered. Graduates will be 

trained to work as independent filmmakers or to work with film 

or tV production companies as writers, producers, directors or

that is a unique offering within the Ontario college system. 

students graduating from this program will have a portfolio that 

demonstrates the ability to develop a wide variety of assets 

for online games, as well as 2-3 completed games for different 

delivery platforms, and will be able to present a solid portfolio 

for pursing employment in this industry and/or pursuing graduate 

certificate studies in console game development. the program

– a 45-week Ontario college Graduate certificate program 

designed to enhance your skill set so you can perform an 

expanded set of controlled medical acts to patients suffering 

from serious medical and traumatic emergencies. this 

specialized training will allow you to better manage lifethreatening 

situations, increasing the range of skills you 

can offer to employers, and the level of care you can offer 

to patients. You’ll develop advanced assessment, critical 

thinking, and decision-making skills, and be prepared to 

perform invasive therapeutic interventions in the prehospital

– a 38-week Ontario college Graduate certificate program. 

Anesthesia Assistants work under the supervision of the 

anesthesiologist and assist in the care of patients during general, 

regional and local anesthesia. Graduates use their specialized, 

sought-after skills to work in hospital operating rooms, postoperative 

care, labour and delivery, emergency and intensive 

care areas across canada. the Anesthesia Assistant program 

offers a flexible delivery format whereby you can attend classes 

one day each week during the first two terms, to accommodate 

your existing professional work commitments. the third term is 

devoted to clinical placement. 

AUTisM AnD BEHAViOUrAL sciEncE 

– a one-year Ontario Graduate certificate program where 

you’ll develop advanced knowledge of autism, and awareness 

of effective intervention techniques via two field placements 

and academic study. Graduates have an expertise in autism and 

behavioural science within the children’s sector and are able 

to select from a range of career opportunities including autism 

services and children’s services, instructor therapist, private 

provider of intensive Behavioural intervention (iBi), and autism 

specialist in a service agency or school board. 


cHiLD AnD YOUTH WOrkEr 

(fAsT TrAck) 

– a 16-month Ontario college Advanced Diploma program 

offered in London with a May start date. Not all youth make it 

through childhood and adolescence with success. As a child 

and youth worker, you can make a difference by providing 

care and treatment for troubled children, adolescents and 

their families. courses include: child growth and development, 

counseling, professional practice, as well as family issues. 

Graduates work in residential treatment centres, children’s 

aid societies, correctional services, boards of education, 

and hospitals. this program is offered full-time and parttime 

(during the day, space permitting). This program offers 



DEVELOPMEnTAL sErVicEs WOrkEr 

(fAsT TrAck) 

– a 10-month Ontario college Diploma program offered in 

London. the Developmental services Worker (Fast track) 

program prepares its graduates to be specialists in supporting 

children and adults with developmental disabilities. For example, 

DsW’s provide support for people with intellectual and physical 

disabilities and autism. the DsW program includes areas of 

study such as disability, mental health, interpersonal skills, 

counseling, health, pharmacology, and teaching and intervention 

strategies. Field placements in community agencies and/or 

schools are part of the curriculum. the Developmental services 

Worker (Fast track) program provides an opportunity for college 

graduates (human services) and university graduates (social 

sciences) or those with a combination of education and work 

experience in a related field to complete the Developmental 

services Worker Ontario college Diploma. This program offers 



EArLY cHiLDHOOD EDUcATiOn 

(fAsT TrAck) 

– a 10-month Ontario college Diploma program that integrates 

theory child development as the foundation for best practice in 

early Development and Learning Programs. through course work 

and field practicum, students will develop their knowledge and 

professional skills with children, families and community partners. 

Graduates will have the required expertise, skills and attributes 

to work in a diverse range of educational, community and family 

support settings and to become a professional registered with 

the college of early childhood educators. This program offers 



EMErgEncY MAnAgEMEnT 

– a 19-week Ontario college Graduate certificate program, 

where graduates are engaged in activities in the area of 

emergency and disaster management. the program reflects the 

work that emergency managers must be able to perform on a 

regular basis within the framework of appropriate emergency 

management legislation. students will be equipped with the 

necessary skills to address key areas of emergency management 

from disaster preparedness, coordination and management 

of emergency events escalating to catastrophes, hazards, risk 

assessment, terrorism, mitigation/prevention, preparedness, 

response and recovery. this program is delivered in a blended 

in-class/online delivery format for students who can commit 

one day per week in-class and who are also self-motivated 

to complete the extensive online learning that is required. 

Graduates would obtain positions within the business/industry 

and public sectors. Positions are likely to be found in larger 

companies and municipalities, with duties relating to emergency 

management planning and liaising with community partners.

MAgnETic rEsOnAncE iMAging 


designed for the practicing Medical radiation technologist 

in the Nuclear Medicine radiography or radiation therapy 

discipline who wishes to expand their career to include Magnetic 

resonance imaging (Mri). Graduates of this program will be 

prepared to write the Mri National certification examinations 

as set by the canadian Association of Medical radiation 

technologists (cAMrt). A Magnetic resonance imaging 

technologist is a valuable member of the health care team who 

uses non-invasive magnetic fields and radiofrequency pulses to 

produce high quality images to aid in the diagnoses of disease 

and injury. After a two semester didactic delivery, the student 

will commence a 16-week clinical practicum at an affiliated 

hospital site. the clinical practicum will then be concluded with 

a two-week intensive consolidation and review on-campus, to 

prepare the student for their certification exams. While the 

contact hours will be compressed in this fashion, the student 

will be expected to commit to rigorous independent study, with 

assigned readings, collaborative group work, online discussions 

and assignment submissions comprising a significant component 

of the educational experience.

(fAsT TrAck) 

– a 10-month Ontario college Diploma. if you have a human 

services Diploma or a university Degree in Psychology, sociology, 

(or social Work related), you may qualify for the social service 

Worker Fast-track option. Graduates earn the same diploma 

as the two-year program and are eligible for admission into the 

Ontario college of social Workers and social service Workers. 

this program will prepare for social work practice and you will 

have the skills to work in social agencies. if you like to work 

with individuals, groups or families who are facing personal 

challenges, this program could be for you. This program offers

– a one-year graduate program that aims to provide an 

opportunity for students to specialize in an artisanal culinary 

field; develop a more profound respect for food; and explore 

the concept of food sovereignty with a sustainable model of 

agriculture in contrast to canada’s current industrial system 

of food production. this program will create chefs that have 

demonstrated a competence in traditional food preparation 

such as preserving, artisanal baking, and butchery. students will 

acquire an expertise in the use of local/sustainable products 

to create advanced dishes, menus, and recipes. A theme 

throughout the program is to promote chefs who appreciate 

the origins of food, in addition to the hard work and processing 

methods that affect specific elements like the taste and quality 

of the finished product. More importantly, graduates will learn 

how to share these different attributes with a diverse clientele on 

both a national and international level.

industries. students will get an in-depth study of what game 

programmers do as part of larger project technical teams: 

graphics effects, animation systems, artificial intelligence, 

physical modelling, sound, and scripting systems. students 

will learn how to create, configure, and integrate custom game 

components. Other aspects of gaming like game models, 

simulation, performance and configuration of both single player 

and multi-player games will also be explored and implemented. 

each student will assemble a portfolio of game fragments and 

demonstrations to showcase their capabilities to potential
