Domestic payments<br />
During 2005, number of 4.158,694 of incoming transactions was processed through the System of<br />
Domestic Payments of <strong>Raiffeisen</strong> <strong>Bank</strong>, 2.409,205 of outgoing, and 1.985.416 transactions within<br />
the network of <strong>Raiffeisen</strong> bank BiH, which is total number of 8.553.315 transactions.<br />
Very number of transactions with very low percentage of any complaints illustrates efficiency of<br />
Domestic Payments Department in the HO which monitors flow of transactions, financial regularity,<br />
harmonisation with legal regulations, as well as quality of technological solutions for individual<br />
operations of this segment.<br />
This year in Domestic Payments was characterised by very successful implementation of a new product<br />
overdraft under transaction account of legal entity.<br />
This highly sophisticated and highly automated product will show its actual effects and operating<br />
advantages, in comparison to other forms of short term lending of current liquidity of companies in<br />
the following period and it will certainly be very much accepted by most of the customers.<br />
In 2005, <strong>Raiffeisen</strong> bank was selected as one of the banks with which newly established Indirect<br />
Taxation Authority opened accounts for raising revenues based on indirect taxes. Very significant<br />
step in reform of tax system of the country, as well as preparation for introduction of value added<br />
tax was great challenge for all participants – both for the very Indirect Taxation Authority, and for<br />
all taxpayers and commercial banks.<br />
Owing to the extraordinary engagement of management of Domestic Payments Department, all<br />
elements of this project were duly and successfully implemented in our <strong>Bank</strong>. Pro-active role of <strong>Raiffeisen</strong><br />
<strong>Bank</strong> should be pointed out in all phases of implementation. Namely, Implementation Team<br />
of Indirect Taxation Authority and CAFAO commonly consulted with the management of our Domestic<br />
Payments Department, since they recognised highly professional and constructive approach of<br />
our employees.<br />
<strong>Raiffeisen</strong> BANK dd BiH finished the year 2005 as the bank over which the highest amount of taxes<br />
was collected on this basis, and in accordance with that it realised the highest fee for this service.<br />
The end of the year also passed in preparation of infrastructure for services which will accompany<br />
VAT introduction, planned for January 2006.<br />
Corporate Loans and Deposit Administration<br />
Central Processing Division<br />
During 2005, in the Corporate Loans and Deposit Administration, and those under their supervision,<br />
processed and approved 3.681 short term, and 3.592 long term loans to legal entities.<br />
Number of term deposits of legal entities in the network of <strong>Raiffeisen</strong> <strong>Bank</strong> in that same period was<br />
395.<br />
This Department also processes (funds withdrawal, repayment, cost settlement, reporting) 74 active<br />
credit lines which <strong>Raiffeisen</strong> bank utilises as long term sources of funds.<br />
At the end of 2005, intensive activities on centralisation of this function started, so that this Department<br />
will take over the biggest part of loan portfolio of legal entities in the whole network.<br />
