OHL participates in the most important industry<br />
initiatives to promote R&D&I. It is a member of the<br />
Spanish <strong>Construction</strong> Technology Platforms (PTEC)<br />
and European <strong>Construction</strong> Technology Platforms<br />
(ECTP). It also chairs the EurekaBuild2 pan-European<br />
network and is a member of the European Network of<br />
<strong>Construction</strong> Companies for Research and Development<br />
(ENCORD).<br />
Milestones:<br />
• Cubipod. Building component for the main layer<br />
of breakwaters, it has an international patent and<br />
performs better than the traditional cube. In 2012 it<br />
was implemented in two works: Malaga Port and Punta<br />
Langosteira Port. (A Coruña).<br />
• FOTSIS. Led by OHL <strong>Concessions</strong>, this is a landmark<br />
project of the EU’s Seventh R&D Framework Program<br />
(FP7) in highway safety and mobility. It completed its<br />
rst year of implementation with a rating of “Excellent”<br />
from the European Commission.<br />
• 2012 EU <strong>Industrial</strong> R&D Investment Scoreboard<br />
of the European Commission ranks OHL 3rd among<br />
Spanish construction companies and 15th among the<br />
European ones.<br />

OHL has conceived a model of responsible and<br />
sustainable business. The Group’s mission is<br />
to create value in terms of economic, social and<br />
environmental sustainability.<br />

UN Global Compact and was a founding member of the<br />
Global Compact Spanish Network when it was devised in<br />
