Known for pioneering new medical
techniques, the Hadassah Medical Center
is furnished with the most sophisticated
diagnostic, treatment and research
equipment. People from across
the Middle East turn to Hadassah for
hope, and they are treated alongside
patients from the Mediterranean Basin,
Europe, South America and the United
States. Annually, Hadassah serves
nearly one million people.
Medical miracles happen daily at Hadassah
Hospitals, but we are also involved
in miracles of a different kind. At
Hadassah College Jerusalem and our
Youth Aliyah Villages, students from
challenged backgrounds become full
participants in the Israeli workforce. We
provide at-risk children with the nurturing
and education they need to become
successful citizens of Israel.
Our Young Judaea camps and programs
bring American teens to Israel,
providing the foundation for the next
generation of Jewish leaders.
Through the Jewish National Fund,
we are full partners in rebuilding the
land. You can help us! When you support
the activities of the Greater Washington
Area Chapter, you help ensure
the future of the State of Israel.
Once again, we will be offering Flowers
for the Holidays. Order a bouquet of
cut flowers, a floral arrangement or a
blooming plant delivered by a local florist.
Prices vary, see the Flower Flyer in
your Group bulletins or check the Chapter
website for more information.
Consider becoming a Seed or a Keeper
of the Gate. Seeds of Tomorrow is a
Greater Washington program and involves
a $500 contribution per year.
Keepers of the Gate is a National Hadassah
program and involves a $1,000
annual contribution for as long as you
are able. As a Seed or a Keeper, you can
attend any Chapter or Group function
that has a donation as part of the admission
price for the couvert price only.
For example, you can attend Hadassah
Presents for the couvert only. Contact
the office for further information.
For a minimum $2500 contribution,
$1800 if you are a first-time attendee,
(plus couvert of $125 pp) you can attend
our Special Gifts Gala Dinner on October
5 at the Woodmont Country Club.
If these programs are out of your
reach, a new Greater Washington Area
level of giving is making its debut. The
Chai Club will have a minimum contribution
of $180. Details will be available
soon. As always, cards, certificates and
Entertainment Books are available
through your Group or the Chapter office.
Remember, Hadassah’s success depends
on our commitment. Thank you
for any contribution that you can make.
