The sword by F. Fichte in Solingen is of standard fighting pattern with a fine c. 80 cm. long nickel plated blade with a yelman etched with fouled anchor and a sailing ship as well as florals. The brass mounted leather covered scabbard is fine and only marked with a number 14 on the upper mount. The framed painting by an unknown Russian? painter of the three mast ship under steam with the emperors flag in front of Sct. Petersburg is well made but unsigned. The ship should be one of the later admirals commands.
