For me, joining the ESCP-EAP Master has been fantastic.<br />
The location of the campus in Paris’s city centre<br />
and a double degree agreement with a French university<br />
allowed me to enrol in a programme in<br />
mathematics at Paris VI, one of the top science universities<br />
in France. Combining a mathematics degree<br />
with my coursework in Finance at ESCP-EAP has<br />
made it easy for me to find internships working in<br />
financial markets. With a traditional business degree<br />
this would probably have remained closed to me.<br />
I aim to pursue a career in this field and am confident<br />
I have the knowledge and tools.<br />

I had been to France for my summer internships. This introduced<br />
me to the country and then later when I decided to<br />
educate myself more, I opted for ESCP-EAP for mainly two<br />
reasons. I wanted to study in a different environment, trying<br />
to learn a different language and culture which always adds<br />
a great deal of intangible value. Also was the fact that the<br />
Master programme ranks in Top programs in Europe in its<br />
category. The diversity of the class (most international colleagues)<br />
with possibility of exchanges in and out of Europe<br />
marked a truly global education. Presently I work in Venture<br />

Capital investments with the Société Générale Asset<br />
Management in Private Equity. The experience helped me<br />
to explore a direction before taking the final plunge into a<br />
job. Before this I worked for Thomson Financials for four<br />
months. My professional goal is to take experience in<br />
various financing and acquisition techniques, particularly<br />
through different types of funds so as to find a way into<br />
some specialised kind of investments. Also, my present job<br />
has helped me to completely understand the value chain of<br />
a seed investment, so perhaps a self start someday later!
