The operations described in this section are<br />

purely indicative as they directly depends to<br />

variable factors such as: water hardness,<br />

humidity, products used and workload, etc.<br />

Warning<br />

For all operations requiring the disassembly of<br />

the machine components make sure the<br />

machine is not powered.<br />

Entrust the operations mentioned below to<br />

qualified personnel. Should it be necessary to<br />

leave the machine not powered, refer to skilled<br />

personnel.<br />

For more complicated interventions, such as<br />

boiler descaling, a good knowledge of the<br />

equipment is necessary.<br />

Disinfect all parts in contact with foodstuffs on a<br />

monthly basis using chlorine-based solutions,<br />

following the procedures already described in<br />

Chapter 4.0.<br />

9.2.2 Brew group maintenance<br />

Plastic group. On a monthly basis remove the<br />

group and rinse it with plenty of hot water. Every<br />

5,000 counts or every month lubricate the<br />

moving parts of the group with silicon grease<br />

suitable for foodstuffs (fig.54).<br />

Every 10000 counts replace gaskets and filters:<br />

Upper filter (fig.55):<br />

- loosen the upper pin (1) using the supplied<br />

wrench (1)<br />

- manually unscrew the filter (2)<br />

Lower filter:<br />

- unfasten the two side screws (ref. 1, fig.56)<br />

and remove the upper piston lock (2)<br />
