Watercolours and Malizia Scarf or Stole<br />

Finished Measurements<br />
8 inches wide x 50 inches long for scarf<br />
22 inches wide x 70 inches long for stole<br />
Materials and Tools<br />
2 balls Watercolours (Main color = MC) for scarf.<br />
6 balls Watercolours (Main color = MC) for stole.<br />
1 ball Malizia (Contrast color = CC)<br />
1 pair 6 ½ mm needles<br />
1 sewing needle<br />
Note: Watercolours is used double through out both the scarf and<br />
stole.<br />
Method<br />
With MC cast on 27 stitches for scarf.<br />
Row 1: (k1, p1) x2, [k3, (p1, k1) x2, p1] x2, k3, (p1, k1) x2.<br />
Row 2: (k1, p1) x2, [p3, (p1, k1) x2, p1] x2, p3, (p1, k1) x2.<br />
With MC cast on 59 sts for stole.<br />
Row 1: (k1, p1) x2, [k3, (p1, k1) x2, p1] x6, k3, (p1, k1) x2.<br />
Row 2: (k1, p1) x2, [p3, (p1, k1) x2, p1] x6, p3, (p1, k1) x2.<br />
Repeat these two rows until you have 2 yards of yarn left. Cast off<br />
loosely.<br />
Finishing<br />
Cut 9 strands of CC yarn 56 inches long for the scarf.<br />
Cut 21 strands of CC yarn 76 inches long for the stole.<br />
With right side facing weave a strand vertically into and out of the<br />
center of each of the three stocking stitches (k3, stitches). When all the<br />
strands have been woven, stretch the scarf very gently, then weave in<br />
the ends on the wrong side.<br />
