NEWS FROM WIKING WIKING has focussed on renewal and high quality in 2012. WIKING Miro 1 and WIKING Miro 3 are the result of this effort. Cast iron and sheet iron Essentially, a WIKING stove is a convection stove made of sheet iron. The advantage of a convection stove is that it heats up and distributes the air quickly in the room. The new WIKING series has an extra solid top plate and a robust cast iron door. This en- sures outstanding stability during use and combines the smooth sheet iron with the somewhat more rustic cast iron. WIKING Miro also has a solid and strong cast iron bottom in the combustion chamber. Adjustable feet WIKING Miro 1 with a plinth and WIKING Miro 3 have four concealed adjustable feet. Should the floor be a little uneven, it will be quick and easy to get WIKING Miro into an even position by adjusting the feet. Unique Closing System A closely-fitting door and simple, easy operation can be obtained with the help of the unique locking system. Just pull the handle lightly to open. When the door is closed, the locking hooks engage and pull the door shut. The handle is embedded in the solid cast iron door and blends in well with the stove’s form and finish. Combustion air system A combustion air system can be connected to the new WIKING series, either at the bottom or at the rear of the stove. The combustion air system is particularly suitable for new and well-insulated homes. The stove automati- cally sucks in fresh air from the outside and uses this air during combustion, leaving combustion independ- ent of the air in the room. WIKING Miro 1, wall mounted The Nordic Ecolabel All WIKING wood-burning stoves are tested at recognised labo- ratories and have obtained a number of approvals which meet the environmental requirements of the future. Most WIKING wood-burning stoves feature the Nordic Ecolabel label. To qualify for this environmental label, the wood-burning stoves must utilise the firewood very efficiently and comply with stringent emission limits for clean combustion. 2 578 006
