1. CONCEPT<br />

Establishing a shared understanding of the design<br />

brief, and deliverables with the client, guides the<br />

design concept.<br />

2. DEVELOPMENT<br />

A series of concepts are developed and discussed<br />

with the client. A Concept Layout consolidates the<br />

ideas and guides the Refinement process.<br />

3. REFINEMENT<br />

The layout is refined with a focus on the design<br />

detailing. A Final Layout is delivered to the Client for<br />

approval.<br />

4. PRODUCTION<br />

izennah.com packages the final document and<br />

coordinates production, before delivering to the<br />

1.1 SALTWATER COAST POINT COOK | DESIGN GUIDELINES<br />

FKP | 2009<br />

HANSEN PARTNERSHIP PTY LTD<br />

The Saltwater Coast Point Cook Design Guidelines were<br />

designed to reflect existing corporate branding guidelines. The<br />

objective of this project was to develop a comprehensive set of<br />

guidelines, with a fresh, coastal aesthetic.<br />

Working closely with FKP and the Urban Design team, a series<br />

of illustrative graphics and photo montages were developed to<br />

enhance the written guidelines.<br />

Accuracy, currency and clarity of information were critical<br />

considerations. Content and imagery were carefully developed<br />

to achieve these objectives. The finished artwork was packaged<br />

for a professional printed output.<br />

1.2 NARRE WARREN NORTH | DESIGN GUIDELINES<br />

VICURBAN | 2009<br />

HANSEN PARTNERSHIP PTY LTD<br />

Hansen was engaged by VicUrban to prepare design guidelines<br />

for VicUrban’s new Narre Warren North residential development.<br />

The guidelines were prepared to assist prospective home<br />

purchasers and/or builders in designing their new homes.<br />

The guidelines comprised several sections, providing building<br />

design objectives and controls, and were designed to reflect<br />

existing VicUrban branding, and the envisioned aesthetic of<br />

Narre Warren North.<br />

The layout is fresh, and contemporary, utilising bold graphics<br />

and a logical structure to ensure the objectives are conveyed<br />

with clarity and impact.<br />

The finished artwork was packaged for a professional printed<br />

1.3 SPRING CREEK | URBAN GROWTH FRAMEWORK PLAN<br />

SURF COAST SHIRE | 2008<br />

HANSEN PARTNERSHIP PTY LTD<br />

The Spring Creek Urban Growth Framework Plan was am<br />

extensive collaboration lead by Hansen Partnership.<br />

The report was creatively directed and delivered by <strong>Izennah</strong>,<br />

and designed in compliance with Surf Coast Shire’s corporate<br />

branding guidelines. The bright, fresh aesthetic of the<br />

Framework Plan was influenced by the coastal region.<br />

Working closely with the Urban Planning and Landscape<br />

Architecture teams, professional photographs were selected and<br />

appropriately referenced, to enhance the Report and support the<br />

written objectives.<br />

Accuracy, and clarity of information were achieved through<br />

careful consideration of document structure, page layout, and<br />

typography. The finished artwork was packaged for both digital<br />

and printed output.<br />

CITY OF BOOROONDARA | 2009<br />

HANSEN PARTNERSHIP PTY LTD<br />

The ‘definition of areas of special character’ project was<br />

commissioned to assist the City of Booroondara in the<br />

identification of areas of prized residential character, as part of<br />

the My Neighbourhood Strategy.<br />

Utilising GIS Data, a series of graphic layouts were developed.<br />

<strong>Izennah</strong> worked closely with the Planning team to consolidate<br />

the research process and illustrate the recommendations.<br />

From a graphic design standpoint the objectives of this project<br />

were to achieve a consistent style that enabled complex data to<br />

be conveyed with clarity and accuracy. Both high quality printed<br />

and digital outputs were delivered.<br />

As the Graphics Manager for Hansen Partnership <strong>Izennah</strong><br />

is responsible for overseeing all internal Graphic Design<br />

requirements, Marketing and Advertising.<br />

From standardising and managing Hansen Partnership’s<br />

Branding (see 3.3 Style Guide), Business Forms, Stationery,<br />

Marketing Collateral (see right, Capability Statement), Staff CV’s,<br />

to coordinating advertising across a range of media including<br />

Print, Email, various industry Publications and Websites.<br />

<strong>Izennah</strong> takes pride in ensuring that each component captures<br />

the standard of excellence and unique aesthetic that defines<br />

Hansen within the development and design industries.<br />

As Hansen has an office in Vietnam, and is involved extensively<br />

in projects across South East Asia, <strong>Izennah</strong> has overseen the<br />

translation of Marketing Collateral and the Hansen Website into<br />

Vietnamese, liaising with Hansen’s Vietnam based translator.<br />

<strong>Izennah</strong> also coordinates the design and production of several<br />

annual industry award submissions., two of which have won<br />

State and National divisions.<br />

The Extractive Industry Association (EIA) of the Northern Territory<br />

is an industry body representing those who extract and process<br />

the sand, gravel and crushed stone products which are used<br />

in their own right or as ingredients for the materials used in the<br />

building of the infrastructure which supports the development of<br />

the Northern Territory. http://extractiveindustrynt.org.au/<br />

This brochure was developed for print and digital distribution, in<br />

line with existing branding. The layout comprises a selection of<br />

images depicting the industry processes and products, while the<br />

colour palette promotes the Northern Territory image.<br />

Hansen Partnership sponsors the annual Women’s Planning<br />

Network (WPN) 2010 Rising Star Scholarship, which provides<br />

financial assistance for graduate or postgraduate education in<br />

the Urban Planning industry.<br />

<strong>Izennah</strong> designs the annual Call for Entries and the Award<br />

Certificate, drawing upon the colour palette and fluid curves of<br />

the WPN Logo to achieve a vibrant and feminine style.<br />

Merit Partners engaged izennah.com to develop a brand identity<br />

and range of products for their in-house fundraising group<br />

which supports Alzheimer’s Australia. A bold colour palette,<br />

geometric lines, and strong typography reflects the vibrant style<br />

of existing Merit Partners branding, and an image of optimism.<br />

The Masterbrand depicts a brain, or thought bubble, enclosing a<br />

plant bud, representing life, growth and action.<br />

A personal brand was developed to reflect the client’s feminine<br />

aesthetic, comprising a pretty yet bold colour palette, a<br />

handwritten style font and an intricate pattern, based upon the<br />

simple monogram.<br />

The fresh yet feminine style is enhanced by hand finished floral<br />

elements added to the business cards, for tactile and visual<br />

This event, hosted in support of the Destiny Garden School<br />

(Kenya, Mombassa) was a personal cause for the team involved,<br />

as a close friend is volunteering at the school.<br />

izennah.com developed an email invitation, a range of posters<br />

and a follow-up email reporting on the money raised. The<br />

graphic style is relaxed, bright, and uplifting, featuring images<br />

from the school.<br />

This simple, integrated suite of Graphics aimed to enhance the<br />

connection felt between the attendees and the children at the<br />

Destiny Garden School.<br />

izennah.com is the Design Studio of <strong>Izennah</strong><br />

<strong>Hogan</strong>, a talented, multidisciplinary designer who<br />

utilises her artistic flair, and meticulous approach, to<br />

ensure clarity, precision and aesthetic impact in all<br />

communication projects.<br />

<strong>Izennah</strong> is a qualified Industrial Designer, specialising<br />

in design communication and environmentally<br />

sustainable design. She has pursued a professional<br />

career in graphic design across a variety of<br />

industries, including architecture, engineering, the<br />

arts, government and not-for-profit organisations.<br />

<strong>Izennah</strong> possesses a diverse range of skills, including<br />

enables her to engage in projects with creative vision<br />
