Declaration of Approved Areas Under Section 52. I. ERNEST KNIGHT HOAR. Minister for Lands, and the Minister of the Crown for the time being charged with the administration of the Bush Fires Act, 1954, in pursuance of the powers conferred by section 52 of the said Act, do hereby declare the Goomalling Road District to be an approved area for the purposes of sections 52 and 53 of the said Act. IT is hereby notified, for general information, that an area of about 5,200 acres in the Plantagenet District described in the Schedule hereunder has been set apart for the purposes of Special Settlement, pursuant to the provisions of section 84 of the Land Act, 1933-1954. Such land is available for selection under Part V (Divisions 1 and 4) of the said Act and the regulations thereunder, subject to survey, classification and pricing and the special conditions enumerated hereunder. Applications must be lodged at the Department of Lands and Surveys, Perth, on or before Thursday, 26th April, 1956, accompanied by a deposit of £17 Ss. All applications received on or before that date will be treated as having been received on the closing day, and, in the event of more applications than one for this area, the application to be granted will be decided by the Land Board. Special Conditions. Applications are limited to areas not exceed- ing 1,500 acres' in all with a maximum area of 1,000 acres of cultivable land suitable for establish- ing pasture (provided that where a location is surveyed to contain more than the above areas, then such location may be selected by any one person). One-fifth of the cultivable area must be cleared within three years and two-fifths within five years from the date of inception of the lease. Such clearing must be at a stage sufficient to establish pasture. Nine-tenths of the cleared area must be sown to pasture with superphosphate within 15 months of clearing. Schedule. All that portion of land containing about 5,200 acres bounded on the North by a two-chain road along the Southern boundary of location 5953, on the East by a two-chain road extending Southward from the South-East corner of location 5953 to the North boundary of location 5963, boundaries of
