To the seniors of 1986 it is a year to shine, remember, grow.
learn, share, and most of all enjoy what we have worked so long for
... a
college education. To start our year of shining, the Convoca
tion Ceremony was one of great gala. Julia M. Walsh was present to
address the Seniors. Guests, and Family members during the Con
vocation ceremony.
In 1963, Julia M. Walsh was the first appointed female to the
American Stock Exchange. Presently, she is the president of the
Washington Board and director of the Pennsylvania Avenue
Development Corporation. She is a dynamic role model for our
class to follow. Following the ceremony in Hoolins Chapel which
marked the beginning of the 110th Anniversary, this grand affair
was underway in a big yellow and white tent with champagne con
tinuously flowing and a catered buffet dinner. The evening was one
of sparkle.
