Biography
Born and raised in Chicago, Alex Andros is one of just a handful of DJs to be
heard over the airwaves on a weekly basis. Opening for such notable names in the
industry such as Paul van Dyk and Paul Oakenfold, playing overseas alongside
European names such as Cleopatra (Best Radio, Athens), and along with over a
decade of experience in the music industry–Alex delivers every time.
Alex remains one of the only DJs to consistently stay true to his musical passions when other “push
play” DJs conform to the music of the next forgettable trend. Aside from Alex’s dedication to his music,
he remains as one of only a few select DJs to be heard weekly on Chicago’s only dance radio station,
Dance Factory Radio (broadcast on the Newsweb Corporation’s trimulcast stations of 92.5 WCPY, 92.7
WCPT, and 99.9 WCPQ). Dance Factory Radio is known for being one of only six terrestrial dance radio
stations in the entire United States and is also streamed online around the world.
Aside from his regular air play and summer residencies abroad, Alex has also held various residencies
at many of Chicago’s most respectable and longest operating nightclubs in the industry. With these
residencies, Alex has held the stage alongside many of the dance community’s top performers in the
world, including: Matt Darey, Darude, Dash Berlin, ATB and Sharam–among others.
Further, Alex has also produced a series of compilations, entitled ‘The Andromeda Sessions’, beginning
with Volume One in late 2009. ‘The Andromeda Sessions’ features some of the EDM world’s top tracks
and remixes from artists such as Tiësto, Morgan Page, BT, First State, and Ferry Corsten–to name a
few. In collaboration with KB Elements, Alex has also produced an original remix of Tiësto’s hit track,
“Knock You Out” featuring Emily Haines, and is currently involved in the production of further original
tracks and remixes under this same collaboration.
