Who We Are
Sharika Enterprises started out in 1998 offering a range of representation services. We have grown
consistently over the years and widened our portfolio that now covers EPC business, specialized
manufacturing and trading activities.
We operate in the infrastructure sphere in India focusing on the power sector and work with
international and Indian power equipment manufacturers and project management/EPC
contractors.
We have gained a wide range of experience in marketing not only power and telecom products but
also power projects. We have also been providing technical as well as logistic support services,
outsourcing secondary products and managing projects of varied types and sizes.
The Sharika Enterprises team provides professional services that are customised to make our
principals' businesses a success in India. We work as a team with our principals and our clients to
create positive and everlasting business relationships.

Our successes
§ Introduced LS Cables in India in 2000 for 220 kV XLPE cables in Pragati Power Projects, Delhi.
Also brought in 400 kV XLPE cables in India in 2008.
§ Captured major market share in EHV cables in India through continued joint efforts. LS Cables
received major orders from Indian Utilities – Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Ltd (KPTCL),
Andhra Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Ltd (APTRANSCO), Delhi Transco Ltd (DTL).
§ LS Cables supplied more than 500 km of 220 kV XLPE Cables in India, valued more than US$
150 million/INR 700 crores in 2010.
§ LS Industrial Systems (LSIS), Korea supplied three Gas Insulated Substations (GIS) to New Delhi
Municipal Corporation (NDMC) at Bapu Dham, BD Marg, State Government House in New Delhi.
§ Hyosung Corporation is in the process of executing a 400KV Gas Insulated Switchgear project at
4×300 MW Teesta-III HEP in Sikkim.
§ Associated with Andritz Hydro since 2004 in developing their Hydro Power Projects with National
Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC), National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) and
State Electricity Boards, especially in north and north-east India with projects like NHPC/4×41
MW Teesta Low Dam-III, MeSEB/2×42 MW Myntdu Leshka, HPSEB/4×15 MW RMU & LE Bassi
HEP, HPSEB/2×2.25 MW Bhaba Augmentation HEP, HPPCL/3×65 MW Kashang HEP.
§ All the Auxiliary Substations in Delhi Metro (DMRC), Phase I & II, supplying auxiliary power to
underground as well as elevated Metro stations for lighting, air conditioning, esclators, etc., are
powered by 350-400 numbers of 33/0.415kV, 200-3000 kVA Cast Resin Transformers supplied by
Elettromeccanica, Italy.
§ We have introduced futuristic power products in India such as Medium Voltage Screened
Connectors and Bushings from Euromold, Belgium and a range of LED Lighting Products from
Dongbu Lightec Co. Ltd, South Korea.

Cast Resin Type Transformers
Elettromeccanica India Pvt Ltd is a joint-venture company with Elettromeccanica, Italy, a leading
manufacturer of transformers based in Milan. Elettromeccanica is held in high esteem and has the
confidence of an established clientele of final users, plant installators and consultants for its high
quality, operational reliability and long lasting products. The company produces the following types
of transformers:
Low voltage transformers up to 2500 kVA nominal voltage up to 1.1 kV
Distribution transformers up to 3150 kVA nominal voltage up to 36 kV
Power transformers up to 10 MVA nominal voltage up to 36 kV
In India we meet the growing demand of high quality cast resin type transformers with special foil type
aluminium / copper winding technology.
Key highlights - Elettromeccanica India Pvt Ltd
Majority owned subsidiary of Elettromeccanica Italy with Sharika Enterprises as equity based
joint-venture partner providing plant management and looking after marketing activities
across India.
The company caters to the requirements of the entire Asian market.
Elettromeccanica Italy, established in 1901, has been manufacturing Cast Resin Transformers
since 1983. The company has supplied 30,000 MVA in 50 countries, including 350-400
transformers to India with 33/0.415 kV 200-3000 kVA ratings for the Delhi Metro Project.
The Elettromeccanica India Pvt Ltd plant, located at Bari Brahmana, Jammu, was
commissioned in 2010. ISO 9001:2008 certified, it is equipped with state-of-the-art testing
facilities for complete type testing as per Indian Standards (IS) as well as International
Standards (IEC).
In the first phase of production, cast coils are being sourced from Italy. CRGO core and the
transformers are assembled locally as per the designs and engineering practices of
Elettromeccanica Italy.
The first order executed by the company was from Delhi Metro for 15 numbers 33/0.415 kV
630/1600/2500 kVA Cast Resin Transformers. Type testing of the transformers was done in the
in-house facility calibrated by ERDA, Baroda.

What We Do
SmartOn LED lights
Sharika Lightec Pvt Ltd, a joint-venture with Dongbu Lightec Co. Ltd, South Korea, brings SmartOn,
a range of eco-friendly, smart LED lights to India.
Dongbu Lightec, part of the Dongbu chaebol, is one of the leading manufacturers of LED lights in
South Korea with a local market share of over 50% having bought over Fawoo Technology, South
Korea in 2011. The company's global footprint covers the USA, China, Japan, Canada, Italy, Spain,
Vietnam and now, India, with Sharika Enterprises.
Sharika Lightec combines the technology edge of Dongbu Lightec and the marketing prowess of
Sharika Enterprises. Its range includes indoor integral replacement lamps, tube lights, street lights
and explosion proof lights ranging from 3W to 160W.

Sharika Lightec Pvt Ltd is a joint-venture with Dongbu Lightec Co. Ltd, South Korea in which
Sharika Enterprises is the majority stakeholder.
With patented designs from Dongbu Lightec, South Korea and LED chips from Japan, the
complete range of LED Lights is being assembled at the NOIDA plant, near New Delhi, on a
modern assembly line and testing facilities imported from Korea.
The company is executing the 1st LED Village Project for around 300 households in village
Chunnikhurd, Punjab.
The lighting system at Red Fort, Delhi has been upgraded with a range of LED lamps and
sheets supplied by Sharika Lightec.

What We Do
Engineering Procurement Construction
For our Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) business, we draw on our experience in the
supply, installation, testing and commissioning, and providing after sales services in EHV cables,
cable accessories, transformers and switchgear.
We provide integrated solutions, products and services on turnkey basis to our clients in the power
sector. We have executed projects in difficult and challenging terrains and weather conditions in the
states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Delhi.
Our strengths include:
EHV cables systems – supervision, cable laying, jointing, testing and commissioning.
Package substations, ring main units and autoreclosers for transmission and distribution sector.
Commercial LED lighting solutions
Cost-effective and efficient power equipment solutions
Transformer erection, testing, commissioning and preventative maintenance support.
Key highlights - EPC (MV Switchgear and Packaged Substations)
§ EPC contract for Indian Railways/IRCON for two package substations of 11 kV voltage grade at
Banihal, J&K at an altitude of 6500 feet on total turnkey basis which included design
engineering, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of equipment procured from
Schneider Electric.

Supply and installation of 33 kV and 11 kV autoreclosers, including civil works, steel structure
work, erection, testing, commissioning and remote automation for various industrial clients like
Tissa Hydro Power, Ircon International, Alpla India, Dutta Daw & Co, Himachal State Electricity
Board, Indag Rubber, etc., in Himachal Pradesh.

As a part of our trading activities, we are the national stockists and distributors for various leading
European and Korean manufacturers of heat shrinks and specialised, pre-moulded screened
connectors and bushings for touch-proof, dust-proof and water-proof connections between cables,
transformers and switchgear.
We maintain an optimum level of stocks in India to cater to the local original equipment
manufacturers (OEMs) of MV switchgear and MV transformers like ABB, Areva, Siemens, Schneider,
Vijay Electricals, Kotsons, Tesla, Nucon and Danish, among others.
We have carved a niche in the domestic market for these advanced technology products for special
applications in packaged substations and RMUs.
With the introduction of in-house power products such as cast resin transformers and LED lights,
our trading activity is in for a quantum jump, with increased geographical reach, directly as well as
indirectly through our regional offices and an active, expanding dealer network across India.
