Ever created by Steiff!
First in a series commemorating
Famous Steiff buttons.
It is one of the most famous trademarks in the world. The Steiff Button in Ear has
become a universal symbol for quality in toys. Throughout our company’s history,
the famous button has evolved over time. To celebrate this progression, we are
pleased to present a new series of bears – each wearing a collar medallion featuring a
famous Steiff button. First in the series is what collectors refer to as the “trailing f”
button used through 1943. This button featured the word “Steiff” with the final “f”
extended into a long arc under the company name. Proudly wearing his collar
medallion is Duncan, a stunning brown alpaca bear. With his hand-stitched nose,
shaved muzzle and deep-set boot button eyes, Duncan is the perfect beginning to the
series – a “must-have” as you build your collection of future trademark button bears.

Retail $250.00
Limited Edition 1,500 pieces
These brother bears
come in a nostalgic
custom tin
Imagine reaching into grandma’s cupboard, pulling out a dusty old cookie tin, and
discovering two antique Steiff bears inside! That’s exactly what happened to a
British couple one lazy summer afternoon four years ago. The couple speculated that
the bears had been stored away since they were purchased – accounting for their
absolutely pristine condition. While the original pair of “brother bears” sold for a
princely sum at auction, you can now own a special limited edition of this charming
set – complete with a vintage-style tin. William, the reddish brown bear, is the larger
of the two. His little brother Henry is a bright and happy shade of gold. Together,
they make an enchanting pair that’s sure to bring a smile to your face and add
something special to your collection.
A special hangtag
features a vintage
photograph of the
original bear and his owner –
as seen on “Antiques Roadshow.”
Sometimes a family heirloom has much more than merely sentimental value. Just ask
the Trammell family of Memphis, TN. Experts from the popular television program
“Antiques Roadshow” appraised “grandpa’s old bear” on-air – and delivered some
surprising news! The Trammels were thrilled to learn that the 1909 Teddy was quite
valuable. And now you can buy a stunning re-creation of this famous and precious bear
for your own collection. It’s the second in our series of bears discovered on what fans
call “The Roadshow,” the highest rated program on PBS. Steiff artisans have
painstakingly recreated the original bear – right down to moth holes in his foot pad.
We’ve even milled a custom mohair designed to match the faded and loved fur of
“grandpa’s old bear.” If you love antique-looking Teddies, then this is the bear for you!
