63.02 Oil<br />

For oil used in two stroke mixtures, the following tolerances on the fuel<br />

specifications will be allowed:<br />

• Density at 15°C Plus/minus 30 kg/m³<br />

• Distillation residue Not controlled<br />

Any infringement of the fuel specifications will automatically result in the exclusion<br />

of the competitor from the entire meeting (see also Sporting Code Art. 140.1). The<br />

result of the competitors’ fuel sample analysis (A or B Sample) more favourable to<br />

the competitor will be taken into account (See also Art. 63.05.3).<br />

If the fuel available locally for the event is not of a sufficient quality for use by<br />

competitors, the FMN of the organising country must ask the <strong>FIM</strong> for a waiver in<br />

order to enable the use of fuel not corresponding to the characteristics defined<br />

above.<br />

63.03 Air<br />

Only ambient air may be mixed with the fuel as an oxidant.<br />

63.04 Primary Tests<br />

63.04.1 In all <strong>FIM</strong> Championship and Prizes, the <strong>FIM</strong> may require tests of<br />

fuels to be administered before, or at the time of delivery to, an event at which<br />

such fuels are to be used.<br />

63.04.2 <strong>FIM</strong> may request any person or organisation, being a potential<br />

supplier of fuel, to submit a sample for testing for conformity with the fuel<br />

specifications in Art. 63.01.<br />

63.05 Fuel Sampling and Testing<br />

1) The <strong>FIM</strong>-appointed Official has the sole responsibility for the<br />

management and supervision during the taking of fuel samples.<br />

2) The preferred fuel test method is the Gas chromatography or GC<br />

Fingerprint method.<br />
