Galil Announces the Appointment of
New Director of Sales
Rocklin, CA – November 30, 2000 – Galil Motion Control, the leader in motion
control technology, announces that Joseph Volpe has been appointed as Director of
Sales for the Galil team.
Mr. Volpe has been with Galil in the capacity of Sales Engineer since 1998,
providing service to OEM accounts in the million-dollar range, specializing in the
bio-tech and semi-conductor industries. Some of his prior experience includes time
with Fluid Solutions, E&M Electric & Machinery, Seimens Energy and Automation
and RCA. Mr. Volpe also spent four years in the United States Air Force, where he
dealt with the maintenance and repair of automatic flight systems. While with the
Air Force, he received four promotions in three years, ending with staff sergeant.
“ We feel that Joe Volpe is, and will continue to be a valuable addition to the
Galil family of employees,” said Lisa Wade, VP of Marketing, “His experience and
knowledge of the industry will provide Galil with the kind of energy we need to
progress as we grow the company.”
Mr. Volpe will focus his energy in three ways, initially: support of Galil’s
channel distribution; providing guidance for the efforts of the direct OEM sales
people; and improving internal Galil customer service.

Areas in which he will be concentrating his efforts in addition to the
semiconductor and biotech process industries will include medical devices,
particularly dealing with robotic surgery, and the ultra precise delivery of medical
radiation. Mr. Volpe will also be working on inspection systems, wherein precise
motion is needed for higher magnification systems.
