Introducing <strong>Access</strong> <strong>IS</strong><br />
We design and manufacture world-class products that enable data<br />
acquisition for our customers’ computer-based applications. For over<br />
twenty years we’ve developed a substantial engineering team with a<br />
broad range of technical skills and considerable inventiveness. This<br />
team, together with our technical sales people, have experience in<br />
solving all manner of challenges in markets as diverse as airports,<br />
banks, retail stores and harsh industrial environments.<br />
We aim to quickly turn design concepts into reality. All design<br />
disciplines are performed in-house and, with significant investment<br />
capital equipment, concepts can be prototyped quickly.<br />
Our headquarters are conveniently located in Reading in the UK, just<br />
30 minutes west of Heathrow airport. We have a subsidiary company<br />
in Atlanta USA, and an extensive network of fully authorised sales<br />

Mechanical & PCB Design<br />
Product realisation begins with CAD and we use Solid Edge<br />

Our PCB layout group<br />
use the latest Altium software which allows complete real-time<br />

PCB knowledge means that we are able to take into consideration<br />
complex issues like ESD, RF interference and trace inductance<br />
early in the design cycle.<br />
Our designs go through comprehensive design verification testing<br />
(DVT) and we follow design for manufacturability procedures to<br />
smooth the transition from design to production.<br />

In-House Molding & Realisation<br />
Wherever possible, we opt to invest in tooling to ensure high cosmetic<br />
finish and mechanical integrity whilst reducing component cost.<br />
We have a tool room facility with<br />

CAD systems to quickly<br />
manufacture molded<br />
parts, significantly<br />

produce two-shot molded keys, automatically<br />
mill parts for production and laser etch housings<br />

Software & Driver Development<br />
We have developed an extensive library of software supporting<br />
diverse development platforms, processors and operating systems.<br />
Our embedded software is exceptionally flexible allowing new designs<br />
to be released quickly, often using proven code. All device drivers<br />
and production ATE software are produced in-house within our<br />
quality management system, ensuring reproducibility and continuous<br />
improvement in our software design.
Manufacturing<br />
We take pride in manufacturing our products in the UK efficiently<br />

of proven technologies. This, together with in-house EMC emissions<br />
and immunity test facilities, reduces approvals overheads.<br />
