New Zealand. Published for the Subscribers by the Author.
Two volumes, large quarto with 48 chromolithographed and 2
lithographed plates., Original half green pictorial roan with gilt
takahe on front covers , decorative titles and native pigeon on spines,
gilt edges, sprinkle of foxing mostly on the front and back pages, the
plates are generally clean, with a few intermittent spots of foxing
throughout. London, Second Edition 1888. A very good crisp set
of one of the best bird books of the colonial era. Illustrated by
J.G. Keulemans, the outstanding bird artist of his time. Fine

Zealand. Octavo, frontispiece, sepia plates, text clean, original red
pictorial gilt cloth with kiwi decoration, light wear. Wellington,
George Didsbury 1882. Enclosed is a 1 page autograph
letter dated April 17th 1878 from Walter.Buller to Thomas.

coloured lithographed plates by J. G Keulemans, light foxing, bound
in an early 20th century English black half calf binding with green
cloth covers, the spine on raised bands with gilt titles and decorative
gilt birds between the bands. First Edition limited to 500 copies,
