Computer Engineering<br />

Aims and Objectives of the Program:<br />
The Program focuses on computer systems with integrated understanding of computer hardware and software, and on the use of computers to<br />
control processes in the real world. The Program prepares graduates for employment as computer engineers and lays the foundation for graduate<br />
studies in the field of computer engineering.<br />
The objective of the Program is to produce graduates that graduares are academically competent in the field of computer engineering and make<br />
connections with related disciplines are equally comfortable in working with computer software and hardware are competent in the design, testing<br />
and programming of microprocessor based, computer and computer-controlled systems are familiar with the world of work through practical<br />
experience, gained through laboratory work and project development recognize the requirements and limitations for computer systems in the scientific<br />
and industrial environments acquire the foundation for further development in graduate or professional areas.<br />
Laboratories<br />
The CSE Department maintains the following teaching and research laboratories:<br />
- Software Engineering Laboratories<br />
- Computer Engineering Laboratories (Instrumentations, Digital Systems, Microprocessors / Embedded Systems, Automation and Robotics)<br />
- High End Laboratory (non-teaching lab for processor demanding applications such as multimedia and numerical analysis)<br />
- High Performance Computing Center (computer cluster for parallel computing)<br />
Professional Eligibility<br />
The Program graduates are eligible to register to the Technical Chamber of Cyprus.
