The Hydrovar does much more than just

change motor speed. It truly manages

your pump performance to match a

wide range of system conditions,

allowing energy savings of up to 70%.

Due to the unique design, the Hydrovar

can be mounted or retro-fitted to any

standard I.E.C. motor.

The Hydrovar eliminates the need for:

● Complex control panels.

● System control valves.

● Large pressure accumulators.

TYPICAL EXAMPLES OF

APPLICATION

● Maintaining a constant pressure, as

in water boosting or irrigation.

● Maintains a constant flow, as in

water supply.

● Compensating for losses in a system

(following a system curve), as in heating

systems.

● Control of pump performance by

temperature sensors.

● Emptying or filling tanks by level

probes.

● Control of boiler feed water.

HOW IS THE HYDROVAR

CONTROLLED?

The Hydrovar utilises a 4-20 mA signal

to regulate the motor speed in order to

meet the pre-set system requirements.

By controlling the motor in this way the

user can make substantial savings in

comparison to conventionally controlled

systems.

OUTPUTS AVAILABLE

● RS 485 interface.

● Analogue signal indicating pressure

or frequency.

● Pump run relay.

● Pump fault relay.

● Start signal for a second pump

running at constant speed.

● Maximum frequency 60 Hz.

● Liquid temperature -20°C to 80°C

(using standard transducer).

● Maximum distance of transducer

from Hydrovar, 20 metres (can be

extended to 100 metres with use of

additional device).

● Humidity, 50% at 40°C and 90% at

20°C.
