Technical adviser on Gender and Public Finance (JPO) at UNDP Dakar Regional Centre for West and
Central Africa – Pole Development Strategies and Public Finance (November 2010 – ongoing, Senegal)
Main duties: design and implementation of a gender mainstreaming project for the Pole; portfolio
management of 4 countries of intervention; field missions and desk support on planning, budgeting, M&E
(PBME), public finance and the integration of a gender perspective in: (i) DSRPs and related plans of action, (ii)
sector policies, (iii) performance contracts, (iv) medium term expenditures frameworks (MTEF), (v) programme
budgets; capitalization and dissemination of information and knowledge; establishment of partnerships and
relevant collaboration patterns.
Accomplishments: In the framework of the gender mainstreaming project: organization and delivery of
trainings on gender-related subject (particularly on gender and economic policies management in
collaboration with the UNDP GEPMI 1 programme); draft of a gender mainstreaming internal strategy for the
Pole; support to UNDP country offices for the integration of gender aspects in the UN Development
Frameworks (UNDAF) and country programmes; participation to practitioners networks and drafting of
technical notes; establishment of partnerships and collaboration frameworks with other UNDP units, UNIDEP,
national institutions and technical partners gender groups;
Other relevant activities: participation to the UNDP Poverty practice lead study on the empowerment of local
governments against the impacts of the economic crisis and its impact on poor women and men; technical
support missions on budget programming (Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, strategic planning (Guinea Bissau,

2010, Dominican Republic)
Main duties: defining the strategy of intervention for the Dominican NGOs platform for Haiti and fundraising
Accomplishments: Development of project proposals (technical and financial proposals) for the immediate
post-emergency interventions; strategic planning for the Dominican NGOs Platform for Haiti relief strategy;
support to the Platform coordinator for the identification of relevant partnerships and definition of
agreements.
Program officer (UN fellow) at UNDP Djibouti (January – December 2009, Djibouti)
Main duties: supporting the implementation of the joint UNDP – UNCDF – EU program on Decentralization and
Local Development (PADCL); assist the implementation of the support programme to the Ministry for Women
Empowerment.

Accomplishments: Follow-up of the execution of ongoing projects (support to vulnerable groups, migrants,

Main duties: supporting the establishment and strengthening of emergency plans for natural disasters
Accomplishments: Follow-up of the drafting and updating of local emergency plans and intra-hospital
emergency plans; support to intra-hospital emergency committees and to the emergency kits distribution;
collaboration with the national and international (UNDAC) institutions in the emergency response activities
for Noel and Olga tropical storms; support for the organization and distribution of humanitarian aid; damages
and needs field assessments with collection of sex disaggregated data on the impact of floods on the different
groups.
HIV/AIDS consultant at Local Technical Unit of the Directorate General for Development Cooperation
of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (August 2004 – December 2004, Uganda)

Main duties: Following the implementation of HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria related initiatives
Accomplishments: Follow-up of the Italian NGOs implemented activities related to HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis
