The Riga 2014 Light Think Tank is a cause driven Interdisciplinary think tank researching urban architectural tensions in Riga and working on experimental solutions using light related technologies. Participants of The Riga 2014 Light Think Tank will be a international team of designers, marketers, conceptual artists and students from anthropology, computer science, economics, architecture, philosophy, multi media communication, sound production and visual communication. The main frame of the think tank will be the light festival STARO RIGA and the foundation of Riga2014. The think tank will start october 2011 and will run every year before the STARO RIGA light festival where the ideas will be executed.

In 2010 he was to be at birth of Latvian independent weekly IR magazine , the advertisement he created for IR, gained international attention . He also co-runs a small hotel in Sarnate and sometimes works as a assistant film director. Currently he is the Creative Director at Leo Burnett his clients are - Citadele Bank, Baltic Miles. Christina Kral is an audio-visual artist, experimental storyteller, collaborator, and grassroots documentatrice. She graduated from the University of Portsmouth in England with a European Masters of Media Arts and from the Merz Akademie in Germany with a diploma in Visual Communication. She has designed a series of story-telling experiments, using different forms of media investigating non-linear storytelling, and crossing the boundaries of storytelling, documentation and abstraction. Gatis Murnieks is a young creative best described by the term “bricoleur” with an ambition for unconventional communication. A proven record of success in creating innovative and efficient means of expression referred to as advertising for their commercial nature. Also daring on ideas and determined in both execution as well as delivering strategic results. Communicative and intuitive, able to establish and sustain relationships with creative teams, colleagues, international partners and clients. Eager to follow the principle – you’re only as good as your latest work! With international experience in creative leadership programs such as Creative Economy (British Council, UK), Creative Leaders (Swedish Institute), fusing storytelling with technology to steal attention and create content worth sharing. He currently is a Creative Director of DBB/Riga.
