A POINT OF ETTIQUETTE,
It will be well to remember
that the Drake students are our
guests next Saturday, and are entitled
to be treated with especial
courtesy on that account. There
have been occasions lately when
our grandstand crowd has shown
rather questionable spirit in its
treatment of contesting teams,
making attempts to annoy the
men by offensive noises and calls.
Such demonstrations are not only
in extremely bad taste, but they
show a painful lack of the true
sportsman-like attitude toward a
contesting team. In certain classes
of events, a disconcerting noise
at a critical moment may spoil an
attempt l altogether; I we do not
wish to win the meet by any such
unfairness, even in ltrifles. The
worst feature about these disturbances
is that a very few are usually
responsible for them, and yet
they cast a certain odium upon
the whole crowd, and indeed upon
the whole school. Those who are
prone to forget themselves in this
President Cunningham of the
which will occur on Wednesday
evening, June 13th, at the University
The committee IS as follows:
The Senior Hop is always one
of. the features of Commencement
week, and it is the last of the
scheduled events for that time.
Many alumni are expected to be
present. From the stand point
of attendance, it will be the largest
social function of the year.
The senior medics have received
the blanks preparatory to taking
which will be held here June, 6, 7,
