Thursday, September until May, <strong>in</strong> the church basement.<br />

CCD REGISTRATION - September 7 & 8<br />

Registration forms are at the back of the church.<br />

Classes beg<strong>in</strong> September 15 after the 9am Mass.<br />

Children <strong>in</strong> grades K – 8 meet on <strong>Sunday</strong> after the<br />

Family Mass at 9 am. The Confirmation Program meets<br />

once a month on Tuesday at 7 pm.<br />

USHERS AND GREETERS<br />

They make those, who come through the doorways of our<br />

church, feel welcome and home by greet<strong>in</strong>g with a smile,<br />

k<strong>in</strong>d word and an attitude of love. What a wonderful way<br />

to get to know people at our church and grow together as<br />

the Body of Christ. We need ushers and greeters. For<br />

more <strong>in</strong>formation please contact the Parish office or Fr.<br />

Mirek.<br />

LECTORS<br />

Lectors proclaim the Word of God through the <strong>first</strong> two<br />

read<strong>in</strong>gs. They also make announcements before the<br />

liturgy. We are <strong>in</strong> need of lectors. Please contact the<br />

Parish office or Fr. Mirek.<br />

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS<br />

Extraord<strong>in</strong>ary M<strong>in</strong>isters of the Eucharist assist <strong>in</strong> shar<strong>in</strong>g<br />

the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ with the congregation<br />

as well as <strong>in</strong> our local hospitals and nurs<strong>in</strong>g homes.<br />

MUSIC MINISTRY<br />

Music m<strong>in</strong>istry provides support for the liturgy. Through<br />

thoughtful musical choices and preparation, the music<br />

m<strong>in</strong>istry helps the congregation enter <strong>in</strong>to fuller<br />

participation <strong>in</strong> the liturgy. For more <strong>in</strong>formation please<br />

contact the Parish office or Paul Racki our music<br />

director.<br />

ALTAR SERVERS<br />

The primary role of the altar server is to assist the priest<br />

<strong>in</strong> the celebration of the Mass. This is done through<br />

specific actions and by sett<strong>in</strong>g an example to the<br />

congregation by active participation <strong>in</strong> the liturgy. We are<br />

blessed to have ten altar servers at St. Joseph - St.<br />

Lazarus. Any child that has received First Holy<br />

Communion can be an Altar Server. Please contact the<br />

Parish office or Fr. Mirek for more <strong>in</strong>formation.<br />

WHY CATHOLIC?<br />

This program is a wonderful way to renew and expand<br />

our understand<strong>in</strong>g of our Catholic faith. Many of us are<br />

Catholics, without really know<strong>in</strong>g why, except that we<br />

were raised that way. Others are Catholics who have<br />

fallen out of practice and are look<strong>in</strong>g for a way to fill that<br />

’empty’ space. In either way, “Why Catholic?” is an easy<br />

path to beg<strong>in</strong> the journey to explore and understand our<br />

FUNDRISING COMMITTEE<br />

The Committee plans and carries out many <strong>in</strong>terest<strong>in</strong>g<br />

and enjoyable activities for the Parish. These activities<br />

support the various m<strong>in</strong>istries and deepen our sense of<br />

community. If you like to bake, serve, plan events, etc.<br />

and would like to help out please contact the Parish<br />

office.<br />
