1.2 Operational Structure<br />
Ms Allan-Zinner is the Ministerial Advisory Council on <strong>Disability</strong> representative on the<br />
Board. Term expires September 2008.<br />
Ms Wendy Dimer has experience in the delivery of services to Aboriginal people<br />
with a disability and has worked closely with staff from the <strong>Disability</strong> <strong>Services</strong><br />
<strong>Commission</strong> in Kalgoorlie to improve services. She has direct experience as a carer<br />
of a person with disability and has direct and recent experience in the delivery of<br />
services to people with a disability outside the metropolitan area. Term expires<br />
May 2009.<br />
Dr Shayne Silcox is the CEO of the City of Belmont. He started his career as a<br />
heavy duty motor mechanic, and went on to achieve a PhD in Management and<br />
Marketing, a Masters of Commerce, a Post Graduate Diploma of Management and a<br />
Bachelor of Business, plus other supporting diplomas and certificates. Term expires<br />
November 2009.<br />
RETIRING BOARD MEMBERS<br />
Ms Sarah Jarman is a qualified social worker who has worked at the Town of<br />
Vincent as Senior Community Development Officer and held a social worker position<br />
with the Centre for Cerebral Palsy (formerly Cerebral Palsy Association of WA).<br />
Ms Jarman is currently working towards her Masters in Human Rights. She resigned<br />
July <strong>2006</strong> to take up her current position as Principal Officer (<strong>Disability</strong> Access) with<br />
the <strong>Disability</strong> <strong>Services</strong> <strong>Commission</strong>.<br />
Ms Norma Josephs holds a Bachelor and Masters of Social Work and a Certificate<br />
in Health Care Management. She has worked in Canada and Australia in<br />
rehabilitation, human resource management and disability. Ms Josephs is currently<br />
the Director of the Association for <strong>Services</strong> to Torture and Trauma Survivors. She<br />
has personal experience of a disability.<br />
Ms Josephs was the Ministerial Advisory Council on <strong>Disability</strong> representative on the<br />
Board. Retired June <strong>2006</strong>.<br />
