Art Connecticut Association of Schools (CAS) Visual Arts Award James Walwer is the GHS 2012 honoree for Visual Arts. He was honored at a banquet at the Aquaturf on April 9 th along with Kathleen Wallace for Performing Arts (Music). Shoreline Arts Alliance - Future Choices Shoreline Arts Alliance Future Choices is a juried art exhibit for High school students in the Shoreline communities. Twelve GHS students were represented with 23 artworks accepted into this highly competitive exhibit. Four students also received awards at a reception on March 4 th . Sarah Gavagan- First and Second Place Awards for Painting Jimmy Walwer- 3 rd Place Award for Painting Aimee Lovington- First Place Award for Pastel Drawing Ariel Youngblood-Third Place Award for Photography Other students juried into the exhibit- Maggie Lo Ricco, Marissa Allain, Tucker Vander Wyden, Diana Carter, Alexandra Shay, Kaitlin Wordin, Nicloe Gigas, Nick Bonfiglio Sarah Gavagan is the recipient of one of the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts Continuing Education Scholarships Guilford High School was presented the Judy Streeter Award for students' accomplishments in this year's competition. Donate Life CT Poster Contest- Sarah Rosadini (2 nd from left)received 2 nd Place and Aimee Lovington (1 st on left) received the ‘Tony Award’ and Molly Bell (not pictured) received an Honorable Mention for posters to increase awareness of the organ donor program. They were honored at a reception at the Connecticut State Capital Building. Greater Federation of Women’s Clubs of CT Statewide Art Contest-2012 The North Branford Women’s Club graciously sponsors GHS for this Senior honor.
