Program Description
The Harford County Public Schools (HCPS) Bridge Plan for Academic Validation Program provides high school students with expanded access to curricula aligned to
the Maryland State Curriculum through the delivery of High School Assessment remediation and application on Bridge Plan for Academic Validation project(s).
Students will sit for the appropriate HSA exam(s) at the end of the summer program. Teachers will be hired to teach Algebra I/Data Analysis, English 10, and Biology
in a traditional face-to-face setting that will include HSA remediation and Bridge Plan for Academic Validation.

Teacher Requirements
Teachers are required to teach 19 days, during the hours of 7:15-12:15 and attend paid professional development.
Summer school instructors should not schedule vacation time on any of these dates.
Notification of Offer:
Once candidates have been selected, offers will be made via email. Human Resources will notify selected candidates in April.
Please note that final staffing is based upon a 25:1 ratio.
